Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of nobodygetsa5.com (the "Site"), operated by NobodyGetsA5 (the "Operator," "we," "us"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.
1. What the Site is
The Site lets people rate job roles at companies (for example, "Director of Engineering at Acme Corp") using a fixed set of descriptive tags and a numeric score. The Site does not accept free-text reviews. Scores, percentages, heatmaps and quadrant labels shown on the Site are arithmetic computed from user submissions by the formulas published on our How it works page.
2. User content
Everything you submit — ratings, tags, answers to the rating questions, suggested titles — is user content. You are responsible for it. The Operator does not author, verify, endorse, edit or adopt user content. Ratings reflect the opinions of the people who submitted them and nothing more.
By submitting content you confirm that it reflects your own honest opinion of your own experience with the role, and you grant the Operator a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, aggregate, display and compute over it.
3. Rules
You agree not to:
- Submit anything that identifies an individual rather than a position. Names, initials, nicknames, physical descriptions, hire dates, or sub-team names that narrow a role to one or two people are not allowed and will be removed.
- Create more than one account, or rate a role you have no direct or adjacent professional experience with.
- Attempt to identify any other user, or to link any rating to a person.
- Use automated tools to submit ratings, create accounts, or scrape the Site.
- Submit ratings on behalf of, or at the direction of, an employer.
- Interfere with the Site's operation or security.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, without notice.
4. Accounts
Accounts are created with a mobile phone number, which is used once to send a confirmation code and then discarded. We retain a one-way cryptographic fingerprint of the number solely to prevent duplicate accounts. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Employers
Employers and their representatives cannot respond to, edit, remove, suppress, or pay to influence ratings. Takedown requests are evaluated only against the rules in section 3. A rating that complies with those rules will not be removed because an employer disagrees with it.
6. Section 230
The Operator is an interactive computer service. User content is provided by third parties. To the fullest extent permitted by 47 U.S.C. § 230 and other applicable law, the Operator is not the publisher or speaker of user content and is not liable for it.
7. Requests for user information
We do not store information that links a rating to a person, and we will not create such a link on request. We respond to valid legal process as required by law and, where the law allows, will notify affected users and oppose requests that seek to unmask anonymous speakers without meeting the applicable legal standard.
8. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Ratings are opinions and may be wrong. The Operator is not liable for any decision you make in reliance on the Site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator's total liability to you for any claim arising from the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100).
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless from claims arising from content you submit in violation of these terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Site at any time. Deleting your account removes the account record; ratings already submitted are anonymous and cannot be traced back to you to be deleted, which is by design.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to their jurisdiction. The Site is intended for users in the United States.
13. Contact

Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Phone number — used once to send a confirmation code via our SMS provider (Twilio), then discarded. We keep a one-way HMAC fingerprint of the number so the same number cannot create a second account. The fingerprint cannot be reversed into a number.
- Ratings — the role, tags, score and answers you submit, stamped with the month (not the day or time) of submission. Ratings carry no account identifier, no IP address, and no device identifier.
- Session cookie — a random token that keeps you signed in. It is not shared with anyone and is deleted when you sign out.
- Abuse signals — a coarse network bucket and device fingerprint are held for up to 24 hours to detect burst abuse, then deleted.
- Server logs — standard web logs are retained by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for a short period and cleared on a daily schedule.
- Launch list emails — if you signed up for launch notifications, your email and the month you signed up.
What we do not collect
No names. No work email addresses. No employer-side verification. No advertising trackers or third-party analytics pixels. No precise timestamps on ratings.
What we can and cannot hand over
If we receive valid legal process, the records we hold are: a list of phone fingerprints with the month each account was created; and ratings with no author field. We cannot produce "who submitted this rating" because that information does not exist in our systems.
Third parties
Cloudflare (hosting, database, bot protection), Twilio (SMS delivery; Twilio retains message logs per its own policy), and Clearbit (company-name suggestions when you type in the Add Company box; your typed text is sent to their API). None of them receive your ratings.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time. You can delete your account by contacting us; that removes the fingerprint and session. Ratings are anonymous and therefore cannot be located for deletion.
Children
The Site is for adults in the workforce. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
